Terms of use

Last updated 10 October 2026

Draft. This is a starting template, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it for your country, and make sure it matches your real pricing, refund and support practices before you launch.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using ShortlistedPrep (the "Service") you agree to these terms with Your Company Name ("we", "us").

2. What the Service is

ShortlistedPrep helps you prepare for interviews: AI mock interviews, a question bank, a résumé maker, headshots and progress tracking. It is a practice and preparation tool.

3. Honest use

You agree that you will:

  • use the Service to prepare and practise, and not to deceive an employer, interviewer or examiner, or to cheat in an interview, test or exam;
  • not use the Service during a live interview or assessment where that is not allowed;
  • only upload photos and documents that are yours, or that you have permission to use;
  • not misuse, copy, resell or attack the Service, or try to bypass its limits.

We may suspend an account that breaks this section.

4. Your account

Keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

5. AI feedback can be wrong

Scores, feedback and suggested answers are generated automatically. They are a guide, not a promise of any interview result. Check facts before you rely on them, and always answer truthfully in real interviews.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to your recordings, résumé and photos. You give us permission to process them only to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy policy. You can delete them at any time.

7. Plans, payment and refunds

Paid plans renew until cancelled. Prices and taxes are shown at checkout. You may ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase. See the Refund policy. (Replace with your real policy.)

8. Changes and availability

We may update the Service and change or stop features. We do not promise it will be error-free or always available.

9. Warranty and liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses from not getting a job. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

10. Ending

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend access if you break these terms.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of (your jurisdiction). Questions: support@example.com.
